Overview

Ubiquiti airMAX NanoStation M2 Loco Access Point – International Version (LOCOM2)

The Ubiquiti airMAX NanoStation M2 Loco (LOCOM2) is a compact, cost-effective, and internationally certified wireless CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) solution for long-range point-to-point and point-to-multipoint deployments. Operating on the 2.4 GHz frequency, it’s ideal for bridging remote networks, expanding wireless coverage, or creating outdoor hotspot infrastructure in global applications.

Reliable Long-Range Connectivity

The LOCOM2 is equipped with an 8.5 dBi directional antenna and supports 2x2 MIMO technology, delivering wireless speeds of up to 150 Mbps. Its dual-polarity design ensures consistent signal stability and high throughput over long distances.

International Frequency Compliance

This international version supports 2412 – 2472 MHz operation, making it compatible with wireless regulations outside North America. It’s an excellent fit for global wireless service providers and integrators.

airMAX TDMA Technology for Superior Throughput

Powered by Ubiquiti’s airMAX protocol, the LOCOM2 uses Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) scheduling, which improves latency, throughput, and scalability by reducing collisions and maximizing airtime utilization.

Efficient PoE Deployment

Supporting 24V passive Power over Ethernet (PoE), the NanoStation M2 Loco can be powered with a single Ethernet cable, simplifying outdoor installations and minimizing cabling requirements. A 24V PoE adapter is included.

Compact, Durable Design

Built into a weather-resistant enclosure, the LOCOM2 is designed to withstand challenging outdoor environments. Its compact size (161 x 31 x 80 mm) and pole-mounting kit make it easy to deploy unobtrusively in residential, commercial, or industrial applications.

Multiple Operating Modes

Supports Access Point, Station, WDS, and Bridge modes, allowing for flexible use cases—from basic wireless bridging to complex network topologies.
