The Honeywell Voyager MS9540 Barcode Scanner is intended to be used instead of triggered scanners. In doing so, Metrologic's engineering team included a function called CodeGate, which makes the MS9540 more user-friendly than a triggered scanner. The laser is immediately engaged when a bar code is given, thanks to Metrologic's revolutionary auto-trigger, allowing the user to simply choose the bar code. The data is then transferred to the host machine via the CodeGate button. VoyagerCG is ideal for menu scanning thanks to its unique approach. When the MS9540 is placed in its stand, CodeGate can be disengaged automatically, allowing VoyagerCG to be used as a fully automatic presentation scanner. Honeywell Voyager MS9540 Barcode Scanner supports the upcoming Reduced Space Symbology (RSS). This new symbology is being used by industries such as supermarkets, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare.
