How to Get Around the Poly (Polycom) VVX Phone Series' "Update Admin Password" Screen

Some consumers have been experiencing problems with their Poly VVX Phone Series lately. They were having trouble navigating past the "Update Admin Password" box that appears in the phone's main menu.

We have compiled a set of instructions that the user can use to modify the default admin password and avoid seeing the "Update Admin Password" page.

These Steps Include:

1.Screen to Set Admin Password will show up.

2.In the "Old Password" column, type the current password, "456."

3.Use the directional pad to navigate to the field labeled "New Password."

4.Select a password you want to use, then type it in.

5.Once more, utilize the directional pad to navigate to the "Confirm New" field.

6.Once verified, hit the bottom right "Enter" softkey.

You may now access the phone features menu, web interface, and device configuration after changing the default admin password.
