How can I end a call on a cordless phone and resume it on the base phone?

Question:

Can a cordless phone (Panasonic KX-TGP600 ) be connected to a base phone so that you can answer calls on the cordless phone, place them on hold, and view the call on hold on the base phone?

Answer:

Most phone networks allow you to use park zones to place a call on a "hold" system and then pick it up there. Typically, a desk phone's key is either lit or unlit depending on whether the call is in park. You could move the ball between phones that have a transfer button by using an asterisk system, or you could call ## for a blind transfer. Additionally, you can park the call as previously described. For the park zone, you would need to include a BLF (busy lamp field) to your Phone.
