The Plantronics Poly Savi 8240 Office Wireless DECT Headset (210979-01) is designed for use in an office environment and includes a noise-cancelling, flexible boom mic. The microphone can filter out distracting background noises, allowing for a more clear conversation. You can even adjust the level of noise cancellation with the Plantronics Hub software's Close Conversation Limiting feature. The Poly Savi 8240 headset has an impressive 7-hour talk time on a single charge and docks easily in the included charging base. The base can be connected to your existing desk phone or to a Windows or Mac-based PC via the included cabling and used with a softphone application. For walking around the office, the headset has a line-of-sight range of up to 590' via DECT technology. You can also use the Poly Savi 8240 as a Bluetooth headset by pairing it with your smartphone.

3-Way Convertible Design

With the included accessories, the Savi 8240 monaural headset can be worn in one of three different ways. It has an ear hook, a neckband behind the head, and an over-the-head headband.

This headset works with a number of Microsoft communication applications. With the addition of downloadable Plantronics software, the Savi 8240 supports call control via Microsoft Lync, Microsoft Teams, and Skype for Business.

Conferencing

For training and group collaboration, you can connect up to four Savi 8200 series headsets to a single base.

DECT Security Certified

The headset is DECT Security Certified, which means it adheres to security standards to keep your conversations private.

Plantronics Hub

The Plantronics Hub program for Windows and Mac PCs allows you to configure and monitor the Savi 8240 headset's settings. You get a visual indicator of mute and battery status, call control with call answer/end, mute, and volume adjustment, the ability to change the language of the voice prompt, and more.

SoundGuard DIGITAL

This feature is intended to protect your hearing while you use the headset. SoundGuard DIGITAL provides protection against sound levels greater than 118 dBA. It also has G616 anti-startle technology, which detects and eliminates any significant, sudden increase in signal level. It should be noted that SoundGuard DIGITAL requires the Plantronics Hub software.

IT Management
