This Cisco cable provides network versatility by connecting a single 40G QSFP+ connector to four 10G SFP+ connectors via a passive copper twinaxial cable. This direct attach breakout cable is hot swappable, dependable, and a great choice for achieving 40G connectivity without using fiber optic cabling.
Each cable has an integrated 76-position "board-as-connector" design with zinc die-cast backshells for excellent EMI performance and low insertion loss. It provides eight independent data transmission channels via copper cables.
