How do I answer a call on the Cisco HANDSET-16000?
  • Press the Speaker button, lift the phone, or press the Headset button if you're wearing a headset.
  • How do I end a call?
  • Press the Headset or EndCall button if you're wearing a headset, or hang up the phone.
  • How do I redial the last number called?
  • Hit the Redial button when the handset is up, or hit the Redial button if the speakerphone is in use.
  • How do I place a call?
  • Dial the number by lifting the handset, pressing the line button, or pressing the Speaker button.
  • How do I put a call on hold?
  • To put an ongoing call on hold, hit the Hold button; to resume the call, press Hold once more.
  • How do I transfer a call?
  • Hit the Transfer (Trnsfer) soft key while on the phone, dial the number you want to transfer to, and then hit Trnsfer once more when the other person answers.
  • How do I place a conference call?
  • To start a new line and hold the first party during a call, press the softer key and then Confrn. Then, dial the second party and press Confrn once more to join all parties.
  • How do I forward all calls to another number?
  • Press the CFwdAll soft key, enter the forwarding number, and to cancel, press CFwdAll again.
  • How do I mute and unmute a call?
  • Toggle mute on or off by pressing the Mute button; mute is also disengaged by lifting the handset.

  • To adjust the volume of the speaker, ringer, or handset, use the phone's volume buttons.
  • How do I access voicemail?
  • Press the Message button to dial the local voicemail system.
  • What do I do if the phone is not registering with Cisco CallManager?
  • Verify network connectivity, make sure the phone firmware is up to date, check the DHCP and TFTP server settings, and, if necessary, reset to factory defaults.

  • To reset, turn off the power, hold down the # key while re-plugging it until the indicator lights flash, and then type 123456789*0#.
