The Cisco Catalyst Stack Power Cable 30 CM (CAB-SPWR-30CM) links multiple Cisco 3750X series switches to share power. StackPower Technology switches enable power supply to be stacked as a shared and common resource. You can link switches that use StackPower technologies by using this StackPower cable. This is not the same as the StackWise-480 cables. The StackPower can be configured to operate in either power sharing or redundancy mode. This technology also has a zero-footprint redundancy function, which means that you can add one more power supply to any switch in the stack and that power supply will give redundancy to the entire stack. Priorities can also be assigned to switches and ports to improve availability during outages. StackPower technology will utilise excess power for redundancy as long as the total available power exceeds the power in use in the stack.
