Overview
Overview of Cisco 8845 IP Phone with Multiplatform Firmware (CP-8845-3PCC-K9) | New
The Cisco 8845 IP Phone with Multiplatform Firmware (CP-8845-3PCC-K9) offers third-party call control (SIP) on compatible open SIP, third-party UCaaS voice and video platforms. It employs exclusive multiplatform (MPP) firmware and does not support Cisco call control. It has a sleek modern style, 720p HD video, and wideband audio for enhanced audio and visual conversations. The Cisco IP Phone 8845 Phone includes five configurable line keys. You can program keys to handle a wide range of directory numbers or call capabilities such as rapid dial. You can boost efficiency even more by processing multiple calls for each directory number using the multicall-per-line capability. Fixed function keys enable one-touch access to apps, messaging, the directory, and often used calling functions such as hold/resume, transfer, and conference. Backlit acoustic keys make audio route selection and switching easier.
Key Features of Cisco 8845 IP Phone with Multiplatform Firmware
Graphical Display
• 800 × 480, 24-bit color, 5-in. WVGA display
• Provides access to calling features and text-based XML applications
Video
• 720p HD video (encode and decode)
• H.264/AVC
Handset
• The handset is a conventional wideband audio handset (it connects via an RJ-9 connector).
• The basic coiled cord features a bespoke termination for hidden cable routing beneath the phone (cord length is approximately 21 in. [55 cm] coiled and up to 72 in. (183 cm) extended).
• The handset is hearing aid compatible (HAC) and meets the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) loudness criteria for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Section 508 loudness standards can be met with industry-standard inline handset amplifiers such as Walker Equipment W-10 or CE-100 amplifiers. The dial pad is also ADA-compliant.
Speakerphone
A full-duplex speakerphone allows you to place and receive calls while keeping your hands free. When using the speakerphone mode, the audible dual tone multifrequency (DTMF) tones are muted for increased protection.
Dual-Position Foot Stand
The display is clear, and the buttons and keys are simple to operate. The two-position foot stand allows for viewing angles of 35 and 50 degrees; the foot stand may be removed for wall hanging, with mounting holes found on the phone's base.
